How we measure
We measure each piece laid flat, with any buttons or zips fastened. Measurements are approximate and shown in centimetres (cm) and inches (in). Unless a stretch range is listed, measurements are taken with the fabric unstretched.
For pieces with stretch, a range shows the measurement from relaxed to gently stretched, without forcing the fabric.
- Chest width: Across the garment from one underarm to the other.
- Waist width: Across the waist, or across the waistband for skirts and trousers.
- Hip width: Across the fullest part of the hip area.
- Length: From the highest shoulder point to the hem for tops and dresses; from the top of the waistband to the hem for skirts.
- Sleeve length: From the shoulder seam to the cuff.
- Inseam: Along the inside leg, from the crotch seam to the hem.
- Front rise: From the crotch seam to the top of the front waistband.
Widths are measured across one side of the garment, not around it.

- Pre-owned, very well kept overall. Two sleeve-lining tears have been repaired: approximately 3 in (7.6 cm) in one sleeve and 2 in (5.1 cm) in the other. The lining remains delicate and should be handled gently. A small hole approximately 2–3 mm wide on one sleeve cuff is discreet against the houndstooth pattern.
How we prepare your piece
Each piece is inspected and washed or dry-cleaned as needed, with care suited to its fabric and construction. We remove lint and pilling, steam or press suitable fabrics, and make minor repairs where appropriate.
